Where is the library located?

What is the library card?

The university card is also a library card. There is a user number and barcode on the back. Further information on student ID cards

How do I search for suitable literature?

Our online catalogs (OPAC and Discovery search) will quickly lead you to the right result. We are also happy to help you personally! To the literature search

How do I keep an eye on loan periods?

Loan periods can be checked and extended via the user account. Otherwise, simply contact the lending desk by phone or e-mail. Further information on library accounts 

How can I access digital literature?

E-books and other digital full texts can be found via our online catalogues and are accessible via the campus WLAN or off-campus with VPN. The BIB@home handout provides tips for researching and obtaining literature from home or when travelling.

What else do I need to consider?

Drinks can be taken into the library in tightly closed cups. Group work is only permitted in the designated areas.

Loaning of media technology

Catalogue of media technology available for hire

Media Technology

Employees now have the option of booking cameras, microphones and other technical equipment for projects via the rental platform. Once booked, the equipment can be collected from the library. Please use your HoMe portal login details to register.

For technical support, advice or questions about the equipment, please continue to contact your colleagues at SL2.

  • Event and exhibition venue (e.g. for readings)
  • Loan of media technology (cameras, microphones, iPads, etc. – for university staff only)
